Damien H. Ding, Natalie Baxter, Lau Wai, Paula Wilson

01.22.2022 - 03.19.2022

The exhibition includes four international contemporary artists who reflect on issues of gender, identity, and belonging. The title, “Lunarian” refers to imagery of moons and “mooning” throughout the exhibition (Paula Wilson, The Light Becomes You, 2018 and Natalie Baxter, Housecoat VI, 2021). The title also refers to the experience of inhabiting a foreign place, which is a theme in some of the works, especially Lau Wai’s three-channel video work, I am invincible..on the screen/FalseMotionTracking, 2019-2020.
